The Voice Finale 2012: Christina Aguilera vs Adam Levine

Tonight is the much-anticipated 2012 season finale of The Voice but the competition seems less about the actual contestants and more about two of the judges at this point.

Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine have been butting heads all season (some might refer to it as sexual tension :) ) but things got very heated between the two last night when Adam took a jab at Christina with the song he chose for his contestant Tony Lucca.

Tony performed Jay-Z’s hit song 99 Problems which refers to the word “b-tch” several times. Needless to say, Christina took the lyrics as a personal jab and didn’t hesitate to make it known when she gave her comments after the performance.

“Your beautiful wife and your daughter and family are here tonight,” she told Tony after his performance, “and I just thought, you know, the lyrical connotation was a little derogatory towards women, but all-in-all, it was good fun.”

What I personally find interesting is that Christina has the nerve to give her opinion on what’s derogatory towards women after performing her hit song “Dirrrty” in an outfit that can nly be described as offensive towards women.

We’ll undoubtedly see a lot more tension – and probably a lot more drama – tonight on the finale but before it begins, we have to ask:

Team Xtina vs. Team Adam – Whose side are you on?

  1. Aguilera IS a B—ch. She is definitely very talented, I won’t take that from her, but what she said and did with regard to Lucca (like him or not) was more than childish, it was mean. Over the 2 sessions she has made it very clear that she has no class and is a HUGE narcissist.
