The Bachelorette 2012 Kalon vs. Emily: Whose Side Are You On?
It’s the blowout we’ve been waiting to see all season and it happens tonight! Sweet southern belle Emily Maynard will hit an all-time low when one of the bachelors (Kalon) refers to her daughter Ricki as baggage. Not only does she eliminate the pompous jack ass right away but she tells him to “get the f-ck out!”
Wow – we didn’t know she had it in her.
After watching the breakdown, it seems like many people have opposing views as to whether Emily made the right decision in her method of sending Kalon packing. While almost everyone agrees that Kalon deserved to be sent home, some fans are arguing that Emily’s choice of words (particularly the F word) aren’t exactly in parallel with being a great role model for her daughter (as she’s been drilling into our heads this whole season).
Personally, I think Emily did the right thing. It’s not like her daughter was in the room or heard her say it. Besides, anyone who refers to a 6-year-old girl as baggage deserves to spoken to like that. Sure, she could have chosen a different word but she was probably so angry and upset (not to mention embarrassed that she kept him this long) that she couldn’t control what was coming out of her mouth.
You have my opinion now but I want to hear yours. Emily vs. Kalon – whose side are you on (and do you think Emily was correct in the way she went about the situation)?
